Tom12345 0 Posted July 8, 2011 6 outdoor 14 indoor... question is...go with two 16 channel analogue machines and cameras or go with ip cams and nvr..not necessarily a budget job but every job is...isn't it?
Soundy 1 Posted July 9, 2011 How about a 32-channel hybrid system, implementing analog and IP cameras as necessary and allowing later additions of more cameras or upgrades from analog to IP? Something like this: http://www.3xlogic.com/prod/599/pro-series-hybrid-video-recorder How large is this store? Are you certain you need that many cameras? If you could replace two or three analog cameras with a single megapixel cam in a couple places, you could reduce the total count to <16 and stick with a 16-channel hybrid system. rory 0 Posted July 9, 2011 Maybe install 4 megapixel cameras and call it a day? Although what Soundy suggested makes more sense There is always just the 32 channel dahua DVR also if not using IP cameras.

Tom12345 0 Posted July 9, 2011 thanks for the replies. there are some possibilities to replace some cameras with megapixel and lower the camera count however there are alot of corners and small rooms which will need to be covered. unfortunately cameras don't yet see around corners. this is why the camera count is high. even if i eliminate 4 and get to 16 there is no room to grow with a 16 channel. You will need to decide if you need an expensive camera for those small rooms or if a $50 one would suffice.

Depending on the system you go with you will have plenty of room to grow. I am not a big fan of DVR based hybrid systems becasue you are locked into blocks of 4/8/16/32/64 for analog cameras plus IP. I like encoder based NVR hybrid systems because of the design and explanation flexibly.
Tom12345 0 Posted July 9, 2011 any ideas on this unit http://surveillance.aver.com/product/pure-NVR-XR8032-RACK
tomcctv 190 Posted July 9, 2011 any ideas on this unit http://surveillance.aver.com/product/pure-NVR-XR8032-RACK hi. the XR is pure ip. so you would have to run total ip mp cameras. this is the same unit but hybrid. no licence costs for both ip cameras or POS cost for software. http://surveillance.aver.com/product/hybrid-DVR-SA6832E-RACK
WilsonJ 0 Posted July 26, 2011 any ideas on this unit http://surveillance.aver.com/product/pure-NVR-XR8032-RACK if you decide to go with all ip then you should consider this too, http://www.qnap.com/USEng/pro_detail_feature.asp?p_id=
