liveinxs 0 Posted July 10, 2011 does anyone have any experience with, or opinions on the VCB-34VF cameras, they appear to have some nice features, i am presently using the VCM-24VFs, but these might be nice to use in the front of the house, dealing with automobile headlights, due to the Eclipse feature.... plus they appear to be much more sensitive to light, down to 0.0002Lux, as opposed to the VCM-24VF 0.005Lux..... rory 0 Posted July 10, 2011 Worse - not as sensitive under low light, eclipse feature barely works in fact its WDR or BLC is better, and its BLC is better than its WDR for doors, but overall a crappy image, the monalisa with SLBC on high outperformed it at warehouse loading docks. Dont waste your money chief. Ive used the Box and the Domes at various locations and put them through tests at my place also, so that was MY experience. If you need something better than the 24VF and have the cash instead maybe look at Samsung (double the cnb price) or Panasonic (double the samsung price) BTW: VCM-24VF - 0.05/0.005Lux VCB-34VF - 0.1/0.01Lux That 0.0002 Lux you are seeing is with max DSS which is totally useless for any application. liveinxs 0 Posted July 10, 2011 No, I am very happy with the VCM-24VFs. It's just that I saw the VCB-34VFs and wanted to know if they were maybe better, plus they had that digital zoom built in. It was just a thought. Thanks for info.
liveinxs 0 Posted July 10, 2011 yes, the WDR does appear to be much sharper, then Eclipse...what about the 1/3" Double Scan CCD, doesn't that help improve image...also what is that DSS you mentioned, how does that work...
rory 0 Posted July 10, 2011 Thats the 1/3" Double Scan right there .. WDR. On the loading docks in a warehouse it barely worked, the monalisas with SLBC worked better.
