rory 0 Posted July 13, 2011 Depends on the DVR but generally it can be like this: 1-USB port on the DVR - plug in a FAT/32 formatted USB jump drive, go into the DVR's backup feature and select that USB drive to back up to. 2-Network - use the DVR's network software to search, playback, and download the files 3-Hard Drive - take out the DVR hard drive and connect it to your PC using SATA or USB, use the manufacturer's software such as HDD Download software to download files from it - warning, with some DVRs this may render the DVR data unusable when you put it back in the DVR. tomcctv 190 Posted July 13, 2011 but i try that number 3. hi your DVR is a TVT you only have two options. removing the hard drive may give you more problems. you only have two options with the TVT. 1-USB port on the DVR - plug in a FAT/32 formatted USB jump drive, go into the DVR's backup feature and select that USB drive to back up to. 2-Network - use the DVR's network software to search, playback, and download the files
strike14 0 Posted July 14, 2011 i use that option 1, i connect my DVR to my PC, my PC detect it but don't have drive appear on my (My Computer) at the option 2, i dunno how that do and i don,t have any software can playback its records
rory 0 Posted July 14, 2011 Option 1 - you cannot generally connect the DVR to a PC, you have to use a USB Jump drive formatted in the FAT file system (or FAT32). The hard drive will have a file system your computer will not be able to recognize properly without software from the manufacturer (if it exists).
