Flicks 0 Posted July 17, 2011 I am looking for a reasonably priced (preferably under $50) dome enclosure for a geovision BX120D box camera. The camera measures well under 6" with the lens (about 5.6"), width is slightly less than 3" and the height is slightly more than 2". The camera will be mounted outside, however will be well away from water/rain. Prefer a surface ceiling mount but would consider an in-ceiling. The second housing I am looking for is to mount an Arecont 5100-DN with MPL4-12 lens. The length is just over 4" (would like 5" to clear the cable connection), width is about 3" and the height is about 2.5" This one will also be mounted outside under a soffit bit could see water from rain. I can get a good solid box enclosure for $25 but the wife does not approve, so i need a surface mount dome for my arecont cameras which will be mounted under an eave Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
MaxIcon 0 Posted April 25, 2012 There are lots of inexpensive outdoor dome housings on ebay, but it's hard to recommend any without trying them out. They start under $10, which is not a confidence-inspiring price, but as you go up you might find something that will fit and looks like decent quality. Search on phrases like outdoor dome housing, ip dome housing, etc, and sort the results from lowest price up. You can also use the same search on amazon and find a few of the same or similar domes, with reviews, that will highlight why inexpensive domes are cheaper than expensive domes...
