Unit provides 16 camera channels in a space saving 1U EIA 19" rack mount chassis which may be rack, wall or shelf mounted. Video transmission range is up to 3000 ft. (0.57 mile) max. per channel. Units are compatible with AC and/or DC fixed or PTZ cameras when utilizing Altronix HubWayAv (16 included), HubWayDv or HubWayDvi video balun/combiners. In addition, the unit features individually selectable 24VAC or 28VAC PTC protected outputs with surge suppression Wondering if its any good and how far the power runs can be? rory 0 Posted July 26, 2011 doesnt apply in this case as their power output from the device goes into unknown wires on the cat5 cable, its some all in one thing. So if it only uses 1 pair, then we need to know that to be able to use the calculator, but we dont know how many pairs it uses. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
fa chris 0 Posted July 26, 2011 Says on the voltage calculator: HubWay products supply camera power utilizing two (2) paralelled pairs of the 24AWG wires within a CAT-5 cable. Checked the installation sheet for the HubWayAc/Dv/Dvi combiners and it tells the pin out. Also has a really good diagram on the architecture of the thing.. Looks like you can only have 2 HubSat4D's max on each system, and you need two cat5's running to each one if you want PTZ control. Nothing specifically states the distance it can be ran, the calculator doesn't look very good but it's the only documentation you have to go by from what I can find.
