tclinch 0 Posted July 21, 2005 I currently have 11 cameras and would like to take 4 cameras and run through a quad. I want to install a monitor station about 60 ft from the quad and would like to use a lcd tv due to space constraints. My questions are: 1. Is there an issue with the screen being burned-in? 2. Should I be looking for a minimum resolution or would the following specs work? Features 20" LCD Panel offers resolutions of up to 640x480 pixels Provides a high brightness of 450 cd/m² and 500:1 contrast ratio for vivid graphics Features an elegant panel design RCA, S-video and component video connections and audio connections for inter-connection with a variety of sources Includes an integrated TV tuner and built-in dual 5-watt speakers I can get this tv for $369. or is there another alternative that I should consider for about the same price? Thomas 0 Posted July 21, 2005 Except burn in is a factor of the phosphor in the screen. LCD's can lock pixels (in this case it's more of a burn out then burned in image and that pixel would have failed at that time no matter what) and the POS industry really pushed for better phosphorb technologies. rory 0 Posted July 21, 2005 Ive used the 1280x720 27" LCDs and were fine for PC but not great like a CRT. For a non VGA signal they are okay but dont look great.
