TeLeMeTRY 0 Posted August 5, 2011 I purchased a pair of 2TB hard drives to upgrade our VMAX II 16 DVR and I realized I need a power cable drive for the second. I contacted DW support and they sent me a flat molex 4 pin to SATA power adapter. When I took the DVR apart the to do the upgrade, I seem to remember it being a square molex 4 pin adaptor on the motherboard. I am a computer guy and would have run down to Fry's and grabbed a flat 4 pin adapter if that is what it had in it. I would prefer not to have to take the DVR out of a cramped rack, disconnect 10 cameras to open it up and see that I was right and have to hook it back up and find the right adapter. Does anyone have a a picture of the mainboard or know what I need? Thanks in advance!!!
Soundy 1 Posted August 5, 2011 I have a VMAX16 sitting on my workbench, I can get a picture of its innards tomorrow, if nobody comes up with anything sooner....
TeLeMeTRY 0 Posted August 5, 2011 That would be so cool if you could do it!!!
Birdman Adam 0 Posted August 5, 2011 I hate it when PSUs don't come with lots of SATA power cables.
Soundy 1 Posted August 5, 2011 Here you go... this, AFAIK, is as it came from the factory. Note that it has a second SATA data and power cable already: (The ribbon cable is the front-panel connector)
