problem with 50 mtr ir bullet camera

i have installed couple of ir bullet cameras , recently i have a problem of colourful lines when ir starts and cannot see any picture in the night , its just a white screen , and in day time it works fine

pls help and suggest

couple basic things to check first.

 

clean the camera housing. Things like spider webs you may not see in the day can wreak havoc with built in IR at night, its like an object blocking the light so it bounces back into the camera. Water marks from rain can also cause some issues.

 

if recently removed the cover make sure any rubber ring around the lens was put back tight against the cover so the IR doesnt reflect back into the lens.
