found 1 in USA .. but out of stock ??? this may be because the dvr is over 4 years old. is there a reason why you want the Avtech AVD718

The feature I most want is "active event call out to a cellphone". And I have only found it on this model (so far). Can you suggest a newer unit and guide me to a dealer?

active call was an add on for avtech and also you are charged on every alarm call made. can get expensive with fauls alarms.

 

 

can you get email on your cell ???

I'm not concerned about false trigger events. I plan to send alerts on motion sensors inside my home, so no false event should occur. My current cellphone does not receive email, although I am considering the newest samsung galaxy S2 which would have email.

 

Did you mean costs associated with cellphone calls for events, or is there an additional service/system charging for active call out alerts?
