sphyer 0 Posted July 25, 2005 Hi, Can some1 pls help me get started on this feature? I have read most of the guide on this forum, and tried the following. I'm running a router with NAT enabled, so I port forward port 80 both within & outside the DHCP server IP addr to the PC with the DVR card installed, run AnyKeeper Network DVR System software and type in the local IP addr (DVR located), but on status=can not find host...?? I have tried and tried various setup and still same result. Could some1 pls share some light on this please, Thanks in advance Steve

loop 0 Posted July 29, 2005 It's not possible when using a router. You must use the remote client software.
eyeonutech 0 Posted October 19, 2005 Use a different port in the DVR card software. In the router port forward the new port to your local IP address. In IE from the viewing computer type http://www.whatever.com:port# or http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:port number. Make sure it's not a firewall issue. I've responded to your post in the DVR card section with a more detailed explanation. LOOP: why can't you use a router? Is it something specific to anykeeper?
