maslam 0 Posted August 22, 2011 I am installing analog CCTV system for 8 cameras, out of all 7 cameras work fine when connected to DVR. But one camera is not working when connected to any of the video input of DVR however if i connect it directly to the TV it shows the display normally. Kindly suggest me what should i check in the system ?
SDM Group 0 Posted August 22, 2011 Are you using BNC to RCA, if so maybe the inner pin of the BNC works with this but is not connecting at the DVR end. Try changing the BNC out
SecurityGeeks 0 Posted August 22, 2011 either that or your wire got kinked pretty bad. if you hooked it up directly to your tv and you bypassed the cable your ran... chances are its kinked or as previously stated your ends are not terminated correctly. SEANHAWG 1 Posted August 23, 2011 to troubleshoot and to see if its a cabling problem: Take a cable from a known working camera and plug that cable into the camera in question, if it works, then you know the other cable is bad.

Aban-CCTV-Camera 0 Posted September 1, 2011 Perhaps it’s a power supply issue? The camera might be under powered when connected with all the other cameras? Just a suggestion.
cctv_down_under 0 Posted September 2, 2011 Could be a number of things - was it the same cable used on the test, IE same length and the same power?
