dollydaydream 0 Posted August 24, 2011 Please help! The system arrived today but I'm totally stuck. The instruction manual assumes that you have a fair bit of knowledge, but I'm a complete techno newby! I've plugged the 4 cameras into the 'Video in' ports. I then plugged in the other lead from each camera to the power splitter cable. This leaves 2 cables on the splitter left over - do I plug them in to eachother? I've tried this but can't see the pictures on my monitor - each screen says 'video loss'. I've connected the DVR to a PC monitor using a VGA lead - is this right and, if so, why can't I see the videos? Should I be connecting through my PC somehow or maybe through a tv? If so then I assume that I need new leads? Lastly, there's a strange lead that has a metal circle on the end - I'm not sure what to do with it! The instruction manual clearly wasn't designed for CCTV beginners like me - please help before I feel the temptation to launch the whole kit out the window Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
