Recommended Posts

Second attempt and new approach.

Sorry for my English…

Application :

http://meteo.logigestion.ca/lg_WebCam.php

Budget:

Around $1,000.00

Criteria:

Outdoor for surface around 100 X 100 feet.

Best still image Day and night

Maximum angle coverage

PTZ or ePTZ

Best software include with the camera

PoE not required

My network:

SBS2008 server + 6 PC

Gigabyte switch

My choices:

Based after reading the technical data from each company

Panasonic WV-NW502S 1/3” CCD at $950.00

Axis P3344VE : 1/4” CMOS at $1,080.00

Vivotek SD8362E : 1/3” CMOS at $$775.00

Acti TCM-7811 : 1/3 CCD at $770.00

Your advice :

Based on your test and not on the Brand name

You might also want to look at Stardot, they have integrated directly with certain weather stations to display data from them. They have features that make integration with webpages easier, too.

Thanks for the info...

Very impressive…

I have downloaded the MxEasy User Manual and also looking at the different model of camera.

Few questions:

Which one and or category will be the best for my application?

How many stream can you watch with only one camera?

Thanks

My next camera will be probably Mobotix.

Watt do you thing about the new series D14 ?

Its available now in Canada.

Also I think I have enough light in my yard ( 2 automatic 75 watts tungsten) so I consider the MX-D14Di-Sec with the IP65 option.

My concern is about the right chose of the lens.

I am planning to install a 10’ high mast just in front of my main entrance at 20’.

The right lens need to cover around 30’ width at 20’ for the coverage of my main door and my car.

The left lens need to cover around 45’ width for the rest of my yard.

I think the best combination was D32 and D43 but not sure!!!

Yours advice or additional questions are welcome.

Thanks
