traysexy 0 Posted July 27, 2005 G'day guys, I've just pulled out an old camera after it's been laying dormant for quite some time. I plugged it in to see how she's still going and now she has all these verticle lines running thru the monitor. It's definately not the verticle hold on the monitor, so I'm coming to the conclusion that there might be something wrong with the lens as I can constantly hear the iris moving even when the camera is stationary under non-changing lighting conditions. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Peter.
Cooperman 0 Posted July 27, 2005 Hi traysexy and welcome, Perhaps you could let us know the camera and lens models. First thing to try is switch off the camera, remove and unplug the lens, then power up the camera in a low lit location (under the table, in a drawer etc.) and see if the lines are still present on the blank screen. Whilst a lens problem is possible, it's far more likely to be the camera.
traysexy 0 Posted July 28, 2005 Thanks for the reply mate. I went to my local tech store and plugged it into their system and it was fine. We both came to the conclusion that the power supply that I was using was faulty. Brought a new supply and all seems alright. Thanks for the idea though Peter.
