Dahua DH-0804-LE-AS and Seagate 200GB problem

I bought DH-0804-LE-AS

system: 2.606.0024.0

Build Date: 07/04/2011

Web: 2.1.7.31

 

There is a problem with SATA HDD

Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 - 200GB

Model: ST3200822AS

 

The DVR DO NOT recognise the HDD every time when switch up.

HDD is in perfect condition. I have 2 of these hdd. I tryed and my second hdd - both hdd do not start every time.

Once there is normal boot and next time dvr doesn't recognize hdd.

With these Seagate HDD-s 1 or 2 of 10 start up is successfull!

 

I read an issue that says there is an new firmware that fixes this problem especialy for this model Seagate - ST3200822AS ?!

I tryed other SATA cables - the result is same.

With Hitachi 500GB there is NOT problem with recognition! But I want to use this DVR with Seagate HDD 200GB.

Please tell me where I can get this new firmware?

no point in using the ST3200822AS they have always had problems since 2004.

 

your dvr will not take that drive anyway ( your dvr will tell you that) USE YOUR HITACHI problem solved

Seagate Barracuda 500HDD Sata ST3500413AS WORKS FINE - tested along with Samsung HDD's all work fine.

I typically use WD drives and had no issues -

500GB blue drives, 1TB blue drives, and 2TB green and black drives.

 

Dahua have a recommended hard drive list though in the DVR manual, so if its not on the list and it doesnt work, then I would suggest either one that others are using and works, or use one from the list.

Any of you guys have a current model HDD that is guaranteed to work on the Dahua DVR? I'm looking for a 500GB one. The list above seems to be HDD that are old and discontinued. Thanks

Ive used WD blue, green and black without issue.
