ashley d 0 Posted August 27, 2011 I am a first time security camera user. I am sure I installed it correctly. I'm using a Swann Pro 660. And the DVR I have is a Q-See. The tv shows the time/date/ ch1 and it also says Video Loss. Now I'm not sure exactly why its saying this, it has a ton of squiggly lines, its grey, black, and white. And it shows a small trace of what its pointed at. I'm pretty frustrated at this and tech support is not in right now. So I was wondering if any of you guys would be able to help? Is it the camera itself? Or should I be doing something different or did I miss something? Thanks
shockwave199 0 Posted August 27, 2011 Can you just vga out to a pc monitor? How many cams do you have in line? Don't use the four camera power splitter if you're only using one camera. Use a separate power adapter. Jiggle the connection into the drv. Try another cable. Camera could just be shot too. I guess just use process of elimination and see what happens. Dan I cant get pic on the tv or dvr now. I am not using the splitter and the husband has jiggled the cords. I am thinking its just a faulty camera. I'm going to take it back to frys tonight and hook up the new one hopefully it works.
