If you are upgrading to PSS 4.05, the PSS 4.04.6 Device.xml file will not work by default. The only change is a new field called HttpPort - add this into each DVR in your old Device.xml file and then it should work, otherwise expect to add all your devices back in manually.

 

If you have alot of devices, open your old Device.xml in notepad and replace the following: replace manufacturer=" with HttpPort="" manufacturer=". Then just copy that Device.xml file to the new PSS 4.05 path.

 

For 32-channel DVRs use version PSS 4.04.6 (or later, eg. 4.05) or you may experience issues with Device config, eg. no settings for cameras 17-32.
