faster340 0 Posted September 12, 2011 Folks, I have to setup a business with 8 camera's and a DVR... I have been getting my equipment from a local electrical supply place and it's not the greatest quality. I need something that's middle of the road to better in quality. What do you folks suggest as far as manufacturers are concerned? I am not looking for top shelf super expensive hardware. Just something better than what I have been getting locally. Please advise... Thanks.
Soundy 1 Posted September 12, 2011 What brand(s) are you using now? What sort of budget are you looking at? Are you wanting better cameras, better recorder, or both?
WilsonJ 0 Posted September 27, 2011 You need to provide more details so we can help you, buddy. If you happen to switch to IP cameras and NVR, my company has been installing many QNAP stand alone NVRs lately. They are pretty good bang for the buck.
ChrisP 0 Posted October 1, 2011 Wilson J- Can you run megapixel cameras on all channels of the QNAP?
Soundy 1 Posted October 1, 2011 QNAPs are NAS/NVR units, they don't have "channels" as such, and they don't do analog cameras at all.
