drnick 0 Posted September 14, 2011 Hey guys, I built a geovision DVR system a few months ago and its been working pretty well so far. this BLOWS AWAY the crappy DVR that I was sold with my camera system... the one issue ive been having with it is I get a consistent "ding" sound every second or 2 from the speakers while the software is open. as soon as I close the software, the sound stops. it almost sounds like an alarm of some sort. When I first built this system I just muted the sound and forgot about the problem, but I'd like to find out whats causing this..any ideas or suggestions? the card is a GV-600 PCI and i believe im running the latest version. drnick 0 Posted September 14, 2011 I solved it! I went to General Setting>Camera/Audio Install>Camera/Audio Install. in this windows I clicked "activate" which had a dropdown of my 4 cameras (but im only using 2 of the 4 inputs) I unchecked cameras 3 and 4. and boom, the noise stopped.
