zachh1020 0 Posted September 15, 2011 I have a Digimerge DHU516 DVR. It has a 500GB Hard drive. Fortunately, in the 6 months that I have owned it, I have never needed to export a portion of video for some sort of investigation, until now. I need a 3 minute clip for a Worker's Compensation Claim. I need to send it to the claims department. It has 3 options for archiving: 1. CD/DVD Burner? Not sure which one it actually is. The advertisement said DVD burner when I bought it, but in the devices list on the DVR its lists it as a CD Burner. Either way, It won't recognize any disk that I put in it, CD or DVD. It just keeps saying "Please Insert Media". 2. Flash Drive. Can't store much. Take a very long time. 3. On the Digiclient software on my computer. Takes just as long as the flash drive. My problem is, It archives in .avi format. The file won't play in a standard media player like Windows Media Player. The only thing I can get it to play in is Digimerge's "Backup Player". Now my question is, how can the claims department watch this video without the "Backup Player"? Or is there no way at all? Thanks for your help!
