sharartimunda 0 Posted September 16, 2011 Hello Everyone! I have Dedicated Micros Digital Sprite 2 which wont go past "Initializing Bootloader" screen. It stays there for few minutes beeps for a while and then restarts its self over and over. I want to get it to Halt Bootloader mode so that I can format its memory/hard disks by using the update firmware CD but I cant do that since it has to boot normally and then I can get it to that mode by shutting it down by holding down a certain button. I'm hoping that the firmware upgrade will reset everything and get it back to normal. I upgraded the DVR's harddisk to 1TB and formatted it using this method about 3 months ago and it just suddenly stopped booting. It is behind a good UPS so it defiantly wasn't a power surge issue. Can anyone please tell me how to halt the bootloader and load the CD drive by any other method since the dvr wont even boot up normally. Thank you all in advance. This model saves the OS on flash memory because it would still boot when I started it without any hard disks back when I was adding the additional hard drive. It worked perfectly fine after the HD upgrade until it stopped booting recently.
