viginetip 0 Posted September 16, 2011 I'm migrating PELCO cameras that are working on software to the platform ENDURA Avigilon. Avigilon both Pelco and indicate that their standards are consistent with ONVIF video. (All a lie). The cameras that need to migrate to ACC Avigilon are IXS0 (Full D1 H.264) = Acc Avigilon when I connect I get a communication error. IX30DN (3Mpx h.264) = The same error Spectra IV PTZ (Full D1 MJPEH-MPEG4) = ACC is incorporated Avigilon correctly. SPECTRA IV DOME PTZ (MPEG4-H.264) = Gives the same communication error. This post is for a call for help .... Someone could resolve a situation of this type. Support People are working Avigilon in theory but so far without response. Let's see if we have a hero who can give me a hand .. Thank you very much all these people wanting to contribute. Greetings from Argentina Federico
thewireguys 3 Posted September 16, 2011 Before you sell a system based on Onvif you must test every camera to see if they work. This goes with any system. So you have a current Pelco system and you are replacing the VMS with Avigilon. Are you connecting to the cameras with Onvif or Pelco protocol?
viginetip 0 Posted September 16, 2011 Much Progress and Migration of all Pelco cameras was a success 17 Pelco cameras IXS0 (FullD1) 4 Pelco Spectra IV PTZ 1 Spectra IV PTZ Pelco HD 1 IX30DN Pelco Camera (3 Megapixel) 5 MPx 12 HD cameras Avigilon (Patent viewing vehicle Day and Night) When searching the Pelco cameras with ACC Avigilon must specify the IP address if you select ONVIF protocol default port is 80, with this option there is communication error. Pelco Protocol When selecting the default is port 49152. If you try to connect again to pull communication error and not connecting. But forcing Pelco Protocol, and Port 80 (must be changed manually) the connection is seamless
jhonovich 0 Posted September 17, 2011 To the my best of my knowledge, Pelco has never claimed that their IP cameras support ONVIF. For instance, they are not listed in the ONVIF official support list - http://www.onvif.org/ConformantProducts/ProductList.aspx
thewireguys 3 Posted September 17, 2011 I did test the new Pelco 1.3MP PTZ camera (don't remember the model number) with version of Avigilon that was 2 releases ago. I knew nothing about the camera besides seeing that it was on the supported list. I did see when I was setting up the connection it was a port different then 80 and it would not connect. I changed the port to 80 and I was able to connect. Avigilon's support is top notch and I am sure they will work this out for you if it is an issue with the software. Do you have a case number with them? Question. What are you thoughts on the Pelco cameras? Why did they dump the ENDURA platform?
viginetip 0 Posted September 17, 2011 They spent all PELCO Camera Platform Platform Endura Avigilon ACC. Were 4 types of cameras and the system is with both cameras and PELCO Avigilon. Endura platform is removed because it was considered impractical especially Digital Zoom tools, very well resolved by ACC Avigilon. When using 5 Megapixel camera is very important to make Digital Zoom particularly in recorded videos. Avigilon also handles very well the dynamic range to resolve important details to light. It was decided only to have software monitoring center, and Avigilon proves to be more simple and effective in the digital image processing for example when you want to see a patent vehicular day or night. thunderbolt 0 Posted September 25, 2012 AFAIK, ONVIF is supported as of Sarix 1.8.2. You may need to update the firmware on your cameras. There are actually quite a few Pelco products listed on the ONVIF site.
