Channel flashes with black & White image when camera is plug

Hi,

 

I just purchased avtech KPC132ES dome CCD cameras, however,

when I plug them into my dvr, the channel flashes with black & white image. Could any one advice what could have gone wrong??

Something is the incorrect format - eg. Pal or NTSC.

Did any other cameras work on the DVR?

If so then the cameras are the wrong ones for your country.

Hi,

Yes. Other dome cameras work on my dvr.

However, its just this that flickers.

Does it say PAL or NTSC on the camera box?

And is your country PAL or NTSC?

Hi Mod,

 

the number of pixel displayed under the specification of this camera states: 771(H) x 492(V) NTSC / 753(H) x 582(V) PAL.

 

So its compatible with both NTSC and PAL right? correct me if i am wrong. I do not know my country is under PAL or NTSC. I am from Singapore.

The camera comes in either PAL or NTSC.

So if it came as NTSC and you use PAL, then that would be the reason for the black and white flickering image.

 

The box should say if its PAL or NTSC though. Look for an N or P somewhere.
