AMPD 0 Posted September 20, 2011 Hey guys, I'm about to put in a quote for a 16 camera system in a pretty good sized drug store (pharmacy/gift/grocery)... I think I'm going to go with the QVIS Apollo HD LITE or PRO for the DVR. Now I'm just trying to decide if I should use CNB's Dome camera's or QVIS's? -The CNB cameras would be the VCM-24vf's and the DBM-24vf's. The QVIS cameras would most likely be the VAN-2007WH-N and the INT-2009WH... -I have read mostly great things about the CNB cameras on this forum, but have found little user info on the QVIS cameras. I can get the QVIS cameras cheaper, but I would rather pay more if the CNB cameras are that much better. -Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!
AMPD 0 Posted September 21, 2011 Has anyone used QVIS dome camera's? I need to make a decision today and get the bid out to the customer.
Birdman Adam 0 Posted September 21, 2011 Haven't used QVIS but I can definitely recommend the CNBs.
rory 0 Posted September 21, 2011 As far as I can see they dont have any TDN Vandal domes except with built in IR. So nothing comparable to the CNB VBM24VF or VCM24VF just yet. FYI though if viewing CNB Monalisas in small video windows over the network, eg. 36 way, the pictures go out of whack - compared side by side with other sony and even sharp chips which do not do that. Im steering away from the monalisa for that same reason right now (though it wont matter for most 4-8 way applications) - this may differ from one DVR to the next, but fact is it does it with Dahua, and Sony does not. Also the 24VFs will stay in color until there is absolutely no light in the video - they dont use a photocell - so there can be extensive noise under low light, garden lighting, etc. Otherwise I have yet to find another camera that compares to them for that price. At least none that can be purchased through US distributors.
