Help with Sensormatic Speeddome 2000 camera

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

First time I have posted, but have read this forum for years. I am a LP manager for a corporation and trying to set up some Sensormatic Speed dome 2000 PTZ cameras in my store that I have just got from a collegue. I have a 3J6SN (6 port) Sensornet J box and a ADTT16E controller that I use to control other cameras. I can get the 2000 PTZ's to come up with video and do the fire up sequence, but I have no control. I have included pics of how I have these wired. I tried both ways after speaking with tech support (Port 1 and 2). If anyone can help..please give me some advice. Thank you!!

Also, I only have a red and green light at the bottom of the board. Not sure what the lights indicate. Thanks again!

I'm not sure if the ptz accepts sensornet commands. I think it might be RS422 only. That would require a 4 wire connection, and a different Jbox. Can you read the labels on the board under the connector? If they are labeled RX+/RX- TX+/TX-, that's RS422.

If they are labeled S+ S-, it should work

Hope this helps.

Bob
