CnM Secure set gateway failed

Hi,

 

my wife got this box for her shop and wants me to set it up. However when I go into Network and try and set the gateway I get a "set gateway failed" message.

 

I just want to set it up so we can access over the internet or local LAN would do. Can anyone help?

Thanks for the reply Dan. I have set up some wireless networks before, though not recently, so have some idea about the process. My problem is that in trying to set the default gateway on this box I get a "set gateway failed" message. Maybe I am missing something here.

 

There is a wireless network set up at the shop. I assume I can connect the cnm box to the wireless network and access that way?

Hi. sounds like just a gatway setting problem

 

9 time out of 10 it is 255.255.255.0 and your subnet is your router IP.

When I enter the network dialog, the fields are pre populated. The subnet is set to 255.255.255.0 which is correct, the gateway is set to a default value, I change it to match my router ip and then I get the "set gateway failed" message.
