Night time only system?

My residential only needs a night time outdoor cctv setup (for now). Should I be looking for just B&W IR cameras if they are even made any more? Also, are there effective add on illuminators available for broad areas say 40' along the house.

KT&C have a range of BW bullets

I still use them but mostly for nightclubs.

BW is best for night, IR only needed if its too dark.
