Wildcat1 0 Posted October 1, 2011 Hi there I noticed Empire seems to be out of these 72IR Effio P bullets until next year now !!! Anyone know of somewhere else or another manufacturer with a similar product ? Was excited to give these a try as part of my plan Thanks
SEANHAWG 1 Posted October 1, 2011 You will see alot of Effio P's on the market soon from different sellers. The Effio P's were available at one short time and then there were shortages due to supply in Japan. Now the supply has been replenished and consequently you will see alot of stores carrying them here in the US soon. We will have some probably in the next couple of months or so. But to be honest, the Effio P is not overwhelmingly better than the Effio E. It has a few added WDR features but overall performance is about the same. As far as resolution and default performance, they are about the same.
nDAlk90 0 Posted October 1, 2011 Using and testing both Effio-E & P I must agree that there is little difference between the two. I would actually say that Effio-E worked better at night at long distances then Effio-P did.
tomcctv 190 Posted October 1, 2011 But to be honest, the Effio P is not overwhelmingly better than the Effio E spoken with a guy in canada who imports both. he has dropped the P to many returns. and it is something sony know about. dont know if Sean has them yet but qvis and dahua have both brought out EFFIO E this week. rory 0 Posted October 1, 2011 I think its important to note that features like Removable IR Cut Filters are part of the camera and not the Chip - so should be able to find both the E and P with TDN but seems alot of the cheap ones are just coming as Color IR which is common with Chinese cameras. As for sourcing them we cant post that in the public forum so please PM with that info.
