lemike41 0 Posted October 1, 2011 Hello i'm tired about MxCC and it's constant bugs i need a VMS software that could manage correctly Mobotix cameras : Mxpeg support audio support a good search method like MxCC 2.5 pre-saved sequences quick search i tried milestone pros : good bandwith management audio support mxpeg support cons: no event search list within a defined time interval weird export using non database format no direct picture export (like a right click on picture > save snapshot) problems with the new sequence record search (with mobotix cams, one sequence is generated every 1.5 sec whereas it works fine with my axis q241 encoder) i also tried avigilon but i have other problems: pros : cool event search and timeline search simple and efficient layout motion detection is based on the camera internal motion detection system cons : no audio support weird bandwith management (8Mb/sec for my 5 mobotix cams whereas Milestone used only 2.5mb/sec) do you another recording VMS that could suite my needs? Avigilon only supports MJPEG from Mobotix so that is why the bandwidth is higher. Unfortunately you lose most of the advantages that Mobotix has when you use 3rd party software. thewireguys 3 Posted October 1, 2011 Let me know what you find. I use Avigilon every day with a Mobotix Q24 for my demo system and it works fantastic but if you need audio your SOL. I strongly recommend you check your local laws when you think about recording audio. You can get into some serious legal trouble.
