Vavo 0 Posted October 4, 2011 I have problem with some keytags On normal plastic cards there are two set/groups of numbers One that is 10 digits (0-9) and a set of 8 digits (0-9) next to them. The 8 digits group is separated with "," 3+5 digits. Take a lpok at http://76.my/Malaysia/blank-thick-proximity-card-125khz-1006-02-SZXENON@1.jpg Some controllers see the first 10 digits and the other see the other 8 digits group. Now I have keytags that only have the second 8 digits group printed and I need to enter them in the system that reads the first 10 digits. Is there a math that can be done as I can not see the numbers with a reader (the system does not remember illegal cards)
Soundy 1 Posted October 4, 2011 I find an easy way to find what numbers a given reader/system uses, is just to swipe the new cards/fobs, and look for them in the error logs (they should show up as being unknown or unauthorized). From there, you'll have the appropriate numbers to enter!
Vavo 0 Posted October 4, 2011 Yea I know about that but this is old controller and do not save illegal cards. There is no way to see what it sees. I found two neighboring cards (1 number difference) and the same difference is in the second number group (incremented by 1 on both sides). But this not apply on all cards. I think the third short number that is also present/written on some cards should be included in the math. Ideas??
fa chris 0 Posted October 4, 2011 you have access to a newer controller? possibly at your office? swipe them on a different system.
Vavo 0 Posted October 4, 2011 People there is no way to find a reader like that (it is from a competing company) and we are now taking over the maintenance and we need to sell additional cards. Is there a way to calculate the numbers? Are there any relations between the two numbers on the cards? Our readers see the number that is printed on the keytags but this controller is registering the missing unprinted number (there is no space for both numbers on the tags like there is on normal cards)
