texashog1950 0 Posted October 6, 2011 I have a situation where lizards are getting into Pelco SD435 spectradome cameras. They come up between the 2 shrouds to a gap at the inside top of the housing by the heat sync. This gap is open to allow air to circulate but Pelco put no screen on the gap to prevent critters from coming in. We have placed a screen between the 2 shrouds for now but Pelco warns of overheating and voiding warranty although they have no solution. Has anyone else encounted this and have any other ideas? texashog1950 0 Posted October 6, 2011 What is it called? We had asked Pelco if we could install steel wool or AC filter material in between and they said it would void the warranty. Thanks for your reply.
dustmop 0 Posted October 6, 2011 My issue is with ladybugs and bees/wasps getting into my Pelco domes outside. I have yet to find a reasonable fix, but the stuff tom showed would be awesome if it were small enough in diameter. I will see if I can find any locally and give it a try. As for voided warranty... "I have no idea what happened. It just doesn't work anymore!"
texashog1950 0 Posted October 6, 2011 I have had issues with yellow jackets too. I will wait and see if TOMCCTV can tell me what it is in his photo. I looked all over the internet for something similar with no luck. Thanks!
