Securame 0 Posted October 8, 2011 Both PSUs should work, each camera needs max. 180mA, so even the 5A 18 output model should be enough. If you have many long cable runs, or if the price difference is not too much, I would take the 11A model.
CCTV_Suppliers 0 Posted October 9, 2011 Has anyone suggested B-tron power supplies? - http://www.b-tron.com/versamain.html Same specs, same life time warranty and better pricing than Altronix.. I have been using both Altronix and B-tron equal basis.. Some customer prefer Altronix and others B-tron. B-tron actually sells more with OEM manufacturers under different names. Both are great manufacturers and offer excellent support.
Ken Layton 0 Posted November 30, 2011 Some power supply boxes can use the Mean Well model S-150-12 single output (it has a screw terminal strip) 12 volt @ 12.5 ampere enclosed switching regulator power supply. It is also sold by Jameco Electronics as their stock number 123423 for $34.95 It is UL approved.
fa chris 0 Posted November 30, 2011 Either will work just fine. I've had a lot of good luck with altronix, things are pretty much rock solid. The meanwell supply will work too (and be rock solid), but I'd put it in some type of can with terminal strips to break out your circuits.
