mxbuz 0 Posted October 15, 2011 Hi everyone, First off I would like to thank everyone for all the great advise shared on this site. I have been reading older post for quite a few days now and have learned a lot. I also have gotten pretty confused as to what I really need. I was hoping I could get some recommendations for my particular setup. We have a 2100 sf. gift shop in a small plaza. Our main purpose for this system is to use as a deterrent for shoplifting. We would like to have a monitor in the back and a dvr (stand alone) to record and have proof if we thought someone did steal something. I'm thinking a 8 channel unit and start with 4-5 indoor cameras. I think a pretty basic system will suffice. I see some kits out there but, sensed most of you did not recommend going that route. Would any of you be willing to put together a system (suggest a kit) that would work for our needs? I'll admit I'm trying not to buy anymore than I really will use.
