greenpackets 0 Posted October 18, 2011 Hi All, I noticed that many of you had good experience with CNB cameras in terms of price/performance. I wonder whether any of their CCTV camera have two-way audio? If not, I'm open to suggestions. Thanks.
SEANHAWG 1 Posted October 18, 2011 not their Analog cameras. With analog, you have to get seperate equipment. You may be able to find an IP camera with 2 way audio.
greenpackets 0 Posted October 18, 2011 I see. Is this feature (2-way audio) specific to IP cameras? Is there an "add-on" to have audio with CNB analog cameras?
SEANHAWG 1 Posted October 18, 2011 About the only time you see built in Audio on an analog camera, its usually a cheap ghetto model. Most of the better cameras do not have audio. Reason being is its illegal in some scenarios to have audio recordings so that is why they dont sell them with it. If you want audio, you will have to get seperate microphones. Soundy 1 Posted October 18, 2011 Well plus, without an IP camera, audio requires extra wiring (ghetto-cheap cameras use the all-in-one cables so they have the wiring available)... and a mic in the camera really doesn't work all that well, because unlike the camera, it can't "zoom in" on sounds - you'll pick up every sound in the room, as well as all the echoes and other room noise. greenpackets 0 Posted October 19, 2011 Does CNB IP cameras have earned the same reputation as its analog products (i.e. best bang for the buck)? Or do we have different winner(s) in this IP camera category?
