wazzume 0 Posted October 28, 2011 Our DVR system died and I'm trying to rebuilt it. Since the person in charge of the DVR is not with the comapny anymore. I've decided to put in a new HD with windowXP. and install another DVR software (ETZ from Eastman Telebell) but the software does not see the capture card. I did some research and found out that the vp40 is from AegisMicro. And the old DVR is in linux. I've check their website but could not find any driver for the card. Does anyone know where I can get the driver for this capture card (VP40). Thanks
jerm0916 0 Posted December 19, 2011 The VP40 card requires the VP-100 DOM Chip. The DOM (Disk on Module) contains the drivers, as well as the Linux kernel and DVR software. To my knowledge, there is no way to use the VP40 card in a Windows PC. The DOM chip plugs into a parallel ATA header on the motherboard, and the system must be set to boot from it. Beware: this DOM chip will not support most newer hardware, so you may run into compatibility issues with newer motherboards and graphics cards.
