eric 0 Posted March 15, 2007 The fact that the card crashes the computer every so often is not unusual when dealing with an inexpensive DVR card. One of the big problems in the industry is that there are many companies inundating the market with pirated software which they bundle along cheap hardware. Keep in mind that PC based DVRs are for the most part unstable as it is. Imagine what would happen if you slap a $20 card on your computer thinking that you now have a DVR. It's just not gonna work. S-M 0 Posted March 19, 2007 hello 1st post for me, i found this forum last night when searching for the wave-p software update password i to have an older wave-p card and was useing an older version of the software, when they started adding passwords i was a little bit miffed, email support is zero so far with no help at all, i find this strange a google search brought me to this forum where somebody had claimed an older password was 999999999 this did not work for me either, tonight i downloaded a simple zip file password retrieval tool and after setting it away on "brute attack" it told me it would take 5000 years to complete the task with numbers and letters LOL thinking that the previous password was all numbers, i reset the brute force attack with just numbers and the tool cracked the password in 15 seconds here are my results for the few that want to upgrade Filename: 6800_en_V7.4.0.1/AUTORUN.INF Password: 806807 Filename: 6800_en_V7.4.0.1/driver/XVDriver.inf Password: 806807 Filename: 6800_en_V7.4.0.1/driver/XVVideo.sys Password: 806807 Filename: 6800_en_V7.4.0.1/DVP/clientlogo70.bmp Password: 806807 Filename: 6800_en_V7.4.0.1/DVP/dvrnet.ini Password: 806807 Filename: 6800_en_V7.4.0.1/DVP/Net Player.exe Password: 806807 Filename: 6800_en_V7.4.0.1/DVR/default.htm Password: 806807 Filename: 6800_en_V7.4.0.1/DVR/DVR.exe Password: 806807 Filename: 6800_en_V7.4.0.1/DVR/dvr.ini Password: 806807 Filename: 6800_en_V7.4.0.1/DVR/dvr_caption.ini Password: 806807 Filename: 6800_en_V7.4.0.1/DVR/encode.exe Password: 806807 Filename: 6800_en_V7.4.0.1/DVR/Logo.bmp Password: 806807 Filename: 6800_en_V7.4.0.1/DVR/logo70.bmp Password: 806807 Filename: 6800_en_V7.4.0.1/DVR/MyHookDLL.dll Password: 806807 Filename: 6800_en_V7.4.0.1/DVR/novideo.bmp Password: 806807 Filename: 6800_en_V7.4.0.1/DVR/RunDLL.dll Password: 806807 Filename: 6800_en_V7.4.0.1/DVR/SASHOOK.dll Password: 806807 Filename: 6800_en_V7.4.0.1/DVR/unvisible.bmp Password: 806807 Filename: 6800_en_V7.4.0.1/DVR/wait.bmp Password: 806807 Filename: 6800_en_V7.4.0.1/DVR/Warning.wav Password: 806807 Filename: 6800_en_V7.4.0.1/DVR/webview.dll Password: 806807 Filename: 6800_en_V7.4.0.1/DVR/webview.exe Password: 806807 Filename: 6800_en_V7.4.0.1/DVR Player.exe Password: 806807 Filename: 6800_en_V7.4.0.1/DVR.ico Password: 806807 Filename: 6800_en_V7.4.0.1/foo.exe Password: 806807 Filename: 6800_en_V7.4.0.1/help.chm Password: 806807 Filename: 6800_en_V7.4.0.1/InstallDrivers.exe Password: 806807 Filename: 6800_en_V7.4.0.1/merger.exe Password: 806807 Filename: 6800_en_V7.4.0.1/Setup.exe Password: 806807 Filename: 6800_en_V7.4.0.1/support/Temp.exe Password: 806807 Filename: 6800_en_V7.4.0.1/UnInstall.exe Password: 806807 Total Time: 11.610 s Total Passwords Tested: 916807 Passwords Tested per Second: 78967 the new software looks quite nice compared with my older version, although i cant test it until i get to work tomorrow to install it on the site CCTV system my card never ever crashes although sometimes the colours go a little off, but i did have to do some file swapping last time i upgraded as some files seamed a little buggy regards S-M

radard90id 0 Posted April 11, 2008 I went through all the trouble to register here just to say how helpful this thread has been- Double thanks to s-m for finding the zip codes to unlock the update software as I was in a really big hurry to finish this install and didn't have time to let the zip cracker run (Yes we got the system off eBay but the purchase and install are legit so no fears about me trying to do something dishonest)- Maybe registering here was a pretty good idea as the next time I have trouble, this is the first place I check- THANKS TO ALL!!
