scottj 0 Posted January 5, 2006 I understand the reason for AGC, but the combo boards use a Techwell chipset and an Altera Bridge chip that has the capability of making this adjustment for you internally, so there is no need to have that option to perform a manual "Auto AGC" adjustment. CCTVDude 0 Posted January 6, 2006 So if there a similar solution to AGC at all on the combo cards?
scottj 0 Posted January 6, 2006 Yes, however it is performed on the board, not having to be activated via the Geo software function. The grayed out button is because the combo board drivers/library do not call for the AGC to be active via software. If you set a GV-800 system and a GV-1240 system up at the same time using the same cameras, you will notice that the combo system will already be baseline adjusted compared to the GV-800 (or other version using AGC). This has caused confusion to many others out there, so you are not alone in asking about this issue. The main problem here currently is that when Geo released the combo board, they should have modified the software to accomodate it better and removed that control. CCTVDude 0 Posted January 6, 2006 Right, and so I was asking if anyone knew if it was addressed in 7.1... Thx for the help though.
scottj 0 Posted January 6, 2006 In the 7.1 Beta it is not changed, rumor has it that it will be though. I wouldn't expect it to be honestly until a later version of 7.1 though based off historical activity. Scottj
