Design of CCTV system

I'm in need of assistance and my apology if ive posted this in the wrong area.

 

im wanting to install a CCTV system at my 3 bed semi. We have been broken into by some juvenile scum who broke into our house.

 

I am wanting a CCTV for both Night and day but unsure whihc type to go for

PC bases or recorder based.

 

so I ideally want a 8 channel as my wife has a surgery ran from home. I would like 2 in the house and the 4 outside watching the house and 1 watching the car in the drive.

 

I am not sure if i shoudl opt for wireless not do i know what camera types i should get

 

any help would be truley appreciated

Hi. soul-mann. i would say stay away from wireless.

 

for a 8 way you will find it cheaper to buy a standalone than build. it all depends on your budget
