aercont low frame rates

I currently running 2 ganz 5105 which are rebranded aercont and 1 3100m aercont

Why do the get such low fps 9 fps for the 5105 and 14- fps on the 3100

this is when i connect directly no firewall etc

turned brightness way down no change, tried different settings all the way down to vga

changes slightly not much +- .5 fps

any one had issues like this and what was your outcome

When you say "directly" connected what do you mean? No switch? Just PC direct? What are the specs on the PC?

directly no hub intel i7 2800 8gigs ram

 

tried in intel centrino laptop same frame rates

Are you connecting to the web interface or are you using VMS software?

tryed alot of different demo software as well stil lousy frame rates what is your experince what are you using and what type of frame rates are you getting

Max fame rate for the 5105 is 9 fps @ 2592(H)x1944(V). The new 5115 will do max 14 fps at max resolution. This is typical of high megapixel cameras.

why then when I reduce to 640x480 frame rate stays the same goes up .5-1 fps

megabyte rates drop but frame rates dont go up much

doesnt matter what resolution setting frame rates still close to 9fps for 5100 series

14 fps for 3100 series

Ima wondering if this is a firmware issue

When you drop the resolution you should see an increase in FPS.

Moonlight. For. Night. Changed settings to highspeed no real change.

Moonlight is why your FPS is slow. It slows the shutter speed to let more light in while reducing your frame rates.

I would like to know the outcome of this too......as I am getting similar low fps with Arecont 5100 DN. Exposure set to high speed/20 for low light setting and Quality set at 15.

I would run visec along with av100 to watch fps

the frame rates would double for a second than drop back weird

It's almost sounds like a connectivity issue.

 

Is the camera sitting near your computer with a new patch cable connected directly from the NIC on your computer to the NIC on the camera?

That would rule out any connectivity issues.

it seems iam not alone in this issue as per previous post made can someone post their results fps along with computer on nvr setup and maybe firmware along with hardware on their aercont or ganz

Um the NIC is that port on your computer. NIC = http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Network_interface_controller

Make sure u are NOT connecting to camera using AV100 and direct cam web GUI at the same time
