Baje 0 Posted November 28, 2011 Hi Guys, I see these type of baluns on ebay for alot less than the "regular" ones. Any particular reason they are so much cheaper?
Soundy 1 Posted November 28, 2011 They're so small, I have to wonder if they're actually baluns, or just screw terminals connected straight through to the BNC...
Baje 0 Posted November 28, 2011 That was my thought as well...
tomcctv 190 Posted November 28, 2011 Hi. they are just screw terminal connecters. we use them for BNC audio connection you see on some dvrs like hikvision

Soundy 1 Posted November 28, 2011 I would think not. Baluns have a transformer inside, wired like thus:
Baje 0 Posted November 28, 2011 Ok thanks, They say they do work but im a firm believer of if something is too good to be true it usually is so ill leave them right where they are. Thanks

Numb-nuts 1 Posted November 28, 2011 I am of the opinion that those are just BNC plugs with a two wire connection for video from a board camera or a coax cable. I can't imagine them being too effective as a balun. A reliable pair of baluns can cost from $3.00 or even less if you look hard enough.
