Integration101 0 Posted November 30, 2011 Hello Forum, I've installed EH5108+s in a couple of McDonalds and can't get them to network. The settings on the DVR are according to their IT instructions exactly (IP, Gateway, Mask, DNS, Ports), but, nothing. The "Network" button is engaged. I can't see anything else I can modify. I've networked many systems, but, in this case I'm mystified. Does anyone have any suggestions?
bpzle 0 Posted November 30, 2011 Can you view locally on the lan, using the local IP?

bpzle 0 Posted November 30, 2011 Go to seup/ schedule/ enable network. Ensure weekly is selected and all the calender is highlighted in blue. Can you ping the dvr locally? You have known working network cables? Is the network switch they are using managed? If so, is port security is enable or do they have that port on a different vlan? keat63 0 Posted November 30, 2011 You could always try a crossover lan cable between the DVR and your laptop (assuming you have a laptop) Change your laptop's I.P to the same range as that of the DVR. If you can view it now, then it has to be an issue on thier network. Knowing how these large corporates operate, I wouldn't be surprised if the network isn't locked down. At least if you can prove it works with a cross over, then you can pass it back to thier networks team.
