madmanuk 0 Posted November 30, 2011 Hi,can anyone help me here, How do i setup my ptz to a dvr and a keyboard controller, is it easy or do i need anything els,I am getting a new ptz in a day or 2, i had one but i sent it back,I was just controlling it from the dvr but i want a keyboard controller as well and want to use them bothe. CCTV_Tech 0 Posted December 2, 2011 Well nobody ever got fired for buying Samsung. I could be wrong, but I don't think you can have both the keyboard and the DVR controlling PTZ cameras over the same wire using RS-485 at the same time. I believe it's possible to connect the keyboard via serial to the DVR and then the DVR controls cameras via RS-485. What DVR do you have? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
