bike_rider 0 Posted December 4, 2011 Milestone released an android client for their XProtect VMS. Free from the android market, this allows live view (with PTZ control) and recorded playback. You cannot see alarms or events and you cannot search recorded video. For playback you pick a camera and a time and it displays the next recorded video after that time. No multi-cam playback. It does required that you run their (free) mobile server with you server. Its OK for a version 1 release, but is not ground breaking. There is an iOS version coming in the spring. bike_rider 0 Posted December 4, 2011 all the more reason to use a real operating system. Rory, I don't know what's going on in your life, but you have become increasingly rude and provocative. You used to be helpful and generous (look all the Geovision software you developed and gave away). Not so much anymore.

Like I said, all the more reason to use a REAL operating system. Sorry you have an issue with that, its not being rude, just telling it like I see it. And BTW I still give tons of software away for free, for WINDOWS ofcourse. I release a new program every other day now.

40th Floor 0 Posted December 11, 2011 Rory he is talk about viewing cameras on a SMART PHONE. Android is also a tablet (may not even have a cell radio). Anyway, going to an even more extreme of oblivion, Windows Phone 7. It does do multiple camera (up to 10 at a time), and even h264 at a smooth 30 fps. http://www.windowsphone.com/en-US/apps/66274dac-f8c0-42e7-9537-ec1aff1c1477
