Some helps for selecting standalone NVR system

Dear all,

Recently we have a chain store project to be installed, in that site, it has a old CCTV system existing and customer ask us to replace it with a new IP system, after some studies, I think I will use standalone NVR since this small site will only connect to 4-8 cameras, I am now considering Plustek NV4200 (standalone NVR, supports 4 channel video inputs), I have tried their free demo site and it seems suitable for my needs but I haven’t installed their product before so I am collecting some use experiences of it , does anyone here know about it?

My another question is that if I want to combine the analog cameras and IP cameras with this Plustek NV4200, how can I do that? Because my customer is not willing to discard their previous analog cams, they want to use new IP cams and old analog cams together, is it possible for Plustek NV4200? Please give me some advices.

if you google Plustek NV4200 you get nothing so no support also cant find which ip cameras it supports. i would leave it well alone.

Thank you for your reply, hmm, I will check the Aver(Avermedia?) hybrid standalone , but I still feel confused about the difference between NDVR and Hybrid system because the Plustek NDVR is more like a video server to me, but some manufactures(NUUO? )also call Hybrid system as NDVR…

 

BTW…I agreed it is not easy to find the information regarding Plustek on the internet, when you google Plustek, you will see their website but it is more related to office equipment. You need to connect to another page for security product, then you can find more information.

Yes I agree with Tom's opnion the Hybrid DVr is best and only choice in your case. But You should chekc the compliance in both IP cam and HY-NVR.

 

If the compliance list is not show the brand you prefer to carry, you better chek again or yo uwil faceing disaster.
