"Megapixel recording (up to 8-megapixel)"

At one of the building we just took over, there are bunch of 1.2 megapixel cameras that were supposed to be installed. Searching for a good 16-channel solution and found the Qnap 4016RP.

Specification states "up to 8-megapixel" recording. Does this mean we can only record (7) of these cameras at a time?

Apologize in advance for such a simple question.

You can record all your cameras. It is max resolution/camera.
