Soundy 1 Posted December 27, 2011 Sending via GMAIL requires encryption as well (TLS, if memory serves)... if your DVR doesn't have the option, it probably won't work. https://support.google.com/mail/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=78799 Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server - requires TLS: smtp.gmail.com (use authentication) Use Authentication: Yes Use STARTTLS: Yes (some clients call this SSL) Port: 465 or
bpzle 0 Posted December 27, 2011 ID:myaccount@gmail.com Don't use "@gmail.com". Just "myaccount"
bpzle 0 Posted December 27, 2011 Also, it's been a while since I've installed a Windows/ Aver system... but on the Linux Nanos: Gmail port is 25 and you disable encryption... Makes ZERO sense and goes against everything else I know about Gmail's smtp servers... but it's the only thing that works.
TravisCraig 0 Posted February 3, 2012 With the latest version 7.7 I have had success using port 587.
