Peter_ 2 Posted December 23, 2011 Quick question, can the mobotix control center software view other manufactures ip cameras? I tried adding a demo Toshiba camera (not on my network) but couldn't get it to work.
CCTV Design 0 Posted December 24, 2011 In short No. You can use a Mobotix camera on a 3rd party VMS along with other cameras. Common VMS brands that accept most cameras are Genetec and Milestone Tim Norton

Common VMS brands that accept most cameras are Genetec and Milestone Tim Norton I'm not seeing pricing or a place to purchase Genetec software, guessing it's not inexpensive? I've been trying the free Milestone software, but my Mobotix camera gets "disconnected" from their software for some reason.
Peter_ 2 Posted January 10, 2012 Little update to this thread, I was able to add an axis camera right into my layout of MXCC without any issues.
jsk 0 Posted January 17, 2012 With the new Mobotix Control Center v2.5.0.2 they have implemented a " Generic IP Camera " option. This allows you to add any IP based camera to the Mobotix Control Center v2.5.0.2. Try this - 1. Click on Video Source 2. Click on Camera on the right side of the screen. 3. In the Drop Down, choose Generic IP Camera. 4. Now enter address, username, password and port number (if changed) and see if you can connect to the camera.
