manky 0 Posted December 28, 2011 Hello everyone, i bought a dahua dvr for one of my work sites. when i checked it at my office, it was fine. i could view the video, login the dvr, change the settings and all. but when i connected it at the new work site, and tried to access it from our old office, problem started. the problem is this. i am able to login and change settings. but, when we select video to the window for viewing, it plays for a short time only. i.e for about 20 - 25 seconds. after that, video freezes. we thought its a network problem and brought down the fps, bitrate and video quality and restarted the dvr and pc. still, the same problem. the network is a wan. the dvr is dahua DVR1604HF-S - 16 channel. the pc we connected is a win7, core 2 duo, 4 gb. tcp - 37777 udp - 37778 http port - 80 rtsp port(i dont know what that is)- 554 max connection-20. (these are all settings on the dvr) the software is pssV4.05 i would also like to know what the transfer mode implies. theres 3 options. latency, fluency and self adaptive. it would be a great help if anybody knows how to deal with this issue. thank you. rory 0 Posted December 28, 2011 Set the DVR network to: Transfer: Fluency Lan Download Check your encoding. HF-S is Full D1 30fps each channel. Connect in Extra Stream but change the Extra Stream settings to: CIF, 7, VBR, High/Highest (4/6), 160/256 Then try again. Also make sure you have the updated 4.05.3 which fixes some bugs in the initial 4.05 release.
manky 0 Posted December 30, 2011 thanks rory. i tried all that you said and still stuck. dont know whats the problem. i tried with ur dahsoft viewer. that also didnt me anything better. the windows loaded much faster than the older situation. that was the only change. the windows loads an image and then again goes stuck.. there is also no loss in the network.. SEANHAWG 1 Posted December 30, 2011 Could be a network issue, router issue or something to that effect shutting down your video streams because of exceeding bandwidth. Have you tried viewing this from another remote site to check, if it happens on another remote site, then its something at your network where your DVR is located. Also, have you tried opening one camera at a time.
rory 0 Posted December 30, 2011 Does it still do it with my single viewer? That will only stream one camera at a time, so if it still doesnt work like that then there is something else wrong. I can get that to stream from the slowest sites down here.
tinseltomb 0 Posted September 20, 2012 Did you solve this problem? I have the same exact issue. It times up and freezes after 20 seconds on IP cameras, but I can log into the DVR and view the video on the internet fine. I thought it had something to do with the refresh of the monitor etc. but now I'm certain it's network related..... It worked on my home network.. but not at the install site...
