Steve-AES 0 Posted December 31, 2011 I have a defender standalone 4 channel system that connects to my network for remote viewing however when I open ie on a system that is on the same network eneter device ip address the page opens showing 16 cameras with H.264 in each camera but then I get an error advising that ie has encounter a problem and envetually closes and I cannot see the cameras I am running XP Pro SP3 and IE 8 can anyone help and advise if its a codec or active X which is needed I have tried JPEG-IRS which also fails to connect thanks Steve Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
ssmith10pn 0 Posted December 31, 2011 It's possible that IE's security settings are blocking a plug in install. Go to IE tools, internet options, security tab. Click on trusted zones. turn the security all the way down for trusted zones, click on sites and add that IP to the trusted zone. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
