theprez 0 Posted January 1, 2012 Hello, Is this Dahua firmware compatible with the Qvis Apollo line? Dahua 2.608.0000.6.R Firmware From what I've heard, QVIS is manufactured by Dahua...but don't know how accurate that is. Thanks!
rory 0 Posted January 1, 2012 Yes, Apollo HD, Apollo HD Lite, Apollo HD Pro, Apollo 32 (NOT Zeus) If it has only VGA then dont do it, that is the Zeus model. I have personally not tested it with any of the Qvis DVRs yet. A member here has done it on at least the Apollo HD (slim 1U Dahua LE-A), maybe others. I have installed it on the LE-A and LE-U 32 under another OEM brand name. Bottom line is .. as the firmware is not directly from your reseller you upgrade at your own risk In other words if it gets bricked you would have to pay to ship it back and have it flashed. rory 0 Posted January 1, 2012 forgot to add .. it is NOT an official firmware update for QVis, unless you get the firmware from the QVis website.
SEANHAWG 1 Posted January 1, 2012 I will add that if u brick a zeus, there is no way to flash it as there is no rs232 port on it.

Gotta be some way to flash it though, like going straight onto the board itself? If the manufacturer can do it ... so should we
SEANHAWG 1 Posted January 2, 2012 Yeah, but I dont know how so I am just saying that as a disclaimer to anyone who mistakenly decides to upgrade their Zeus with this firmware, its not going to be able to be changed back. In otherwords, dont upgrade your Zeus with this firmware.
rory 0 Posted January 2, 2012 I put some info about the firmware just incase: ------------------- About Dahua Firmware 2.608.0000.6.R Release Date: October 18th, 2011 This firmware was not obtained from Dahua's website and therefore should not be considered an official firmware release for your DVR. It was however released to certain suppliers and advanced users. This is not the TEST version, this is an actual RELEASE, hence the R in the file name. If you are unsure please consult with your supplier. If you flash the incorrect firmware to your DVR the device will either need to be sent back to your supplier or it may no longer work at all. One example are the LE-AS/AN DVRs (AKA QVis Zeus) - these do not have an RS232 port which will make it difficult to fix, so DO NOT flash this firmware to that model, as this firmware IS NOT for the LE-AS/AN model. This firmware is ONLY for the following Dahua DVRs: LE-A, HE-T, LE-L, LE-S, 3204LE-U Updates included in this firmware: (Chinese to English translation) 1) increase in color management, with N6. 2) to solve the problem of poor VGA display. 3) to solve 9-channel jitter. 4) video buffer overflow handling strategy (V7 features a special hard disk). 5) to solve the problem of slow query video. 6) Adjust the disk group page display problems, page layout through N6. 7) priority unified audio: voice intercom> local audio playback> Audio Preview. 8) multi-line overlay. 9) to solve only the first 1,9,17 Road 24 on the road can be set to D1 resolution problem. 10) different encoding settings in video mode, audio will use the same switch to control, either while on or off simultaneously. 11) hope to modify the server host IP network DDNS default: members.3322.org. 12) support IE9. 13) will be "UPNP" string to "UPnP", with a unified UPnP SDK agreement. 14) UPNP memory leak problem. 15) repair the overlay, the characters too broad issue. 16) stream is too large to solve low light problems. 17) modified 28XX registers, to solve the problem white screen. 18) 32 Road, then up and down keys during playback device channel-cut problem. 19) 32 Road Equipment Preview split switch problem. 20) VFD screen to solve the problem off the network lights constantly. 21) amendments to 24-way device, the first eight rounds of normal patrol, patrol out after 16 rounds of a mess of problems. 22) to modify the value of fixed inspection sensitivity {2,3,5,10,30,60}. 23) Cisso router, DHCP on dial-up call is not the problem. 24) to write the log card to solve the problem
